Feed advice

Feed advice – Know what your horse really needs - instead of trying blindly

Feeding horses is becoming increasingly complex these days. What's good for one horse can cause problems for another. A well-thought-out ration plan not only helps save on feed costs, but can also prevent health problems and significantly improve your horse's quality of life.

Many problems appear gradually – too little protein, a mineral imbalance, or a permanently imbalanced calcium-phosphorus (Ca:P) ratio. The consequences range from decreased performance to serious illnesses. Taking early action often saves not only money but also worry.

Let me advise you and find out which feeding advice is best for your horse.

How I work

This is how a feed consultation works

To begin, I'll take a close look at your horse with you: What's its general condition? What's its coat like? Does it have any health problems or is it particularly sensitive in certain areas?

In the next step, I determine your horse's needs based on factors such as age, weight, activity level, and special requirements.

We will then look at what feed your horse currently has available on a regular basis and whether the feed provides the necessary nutrients or whether supplements are necessary.

In the next step, I'll give you specific suggestions on how we can best meet your horse's needs—whether through supplemental feed or adjustments to the feed quantity and composition. This way, we ensure that your horse gets everything it needs for its health and vitality.

Dietary supplement

Nutritional supplements for your horse – proven quality at affordable prices

I maintain a small stock of high-quality nutritional supplements, including mineral feed, brewer's yeast, oils, herbs, and trace elements from the brands Makana and Lexa.

Why these brands in particular?

Quite simply: They offer a wide range of products, and their products have proven time and again in practice to be particularly balanced, helpful, and reliable.

In addition, the excellent price-performance ratio is convincing, which helps to optimize the overall feed costs.

Additionally, I offer monthly group orders so you can benefit from more favorable terms.
